Congratulations to Clarence Rasmussen and Pat Daniels for their first place finish on Lake Reno. Their 25.77 pounds was enough to edge out the second place team of Tom Wilkins and Doug Tvrdik with 25.56 pounds.Big bass of the day was a 4.90 pound largemouth caught by Clarence and Pat.

Congratulations to the team of Nate Gniffke and Cody Zdrazil for the win on Lake Ida.  They had 7 largemouth and 1 smallmouth bass weighing 23.27 lbs to beat the rest of the competition.  In 2nd place was the team of Clarence Rasmussen and Pat Daniels with 22.03 lbs.  Tom Wilkins and Steve Stave came in 3rd with a weight of 21.44 lbs.

The morning started off overcast with chances of rain and severe thunderstorms.  The weather didn’t let anyone down with a brief down pour and strong winds.  After the storms moved through the sun came out and ended up being a very nice afternoon.  The bass really cooperated for the field.  The average limit was an astounding 18.73 lbs!  Big Bass of the day was landed by Troy Jutting, a nice largemouth weighing 4.10 lbs.

The tournament of champions will be held on Saturday August 27, 2011 on Lake Reno.  The event will be going out of the South access on the lake starting at 7:00 a.m.

2011 Standings

The morning started out looking like we would be fishing in rain but it cleared up just in time for ease-off. The sun worked its way out as the morning went on and the wind was brisk from the south/southwest. By the end of the day it was sunny and wind went down. A lot of nice fish were brought to the scales and when the numbers settled the husband/wife team of Cory and Lisa Putnam were able to grab top honors with a bag of 23.21 lbs.; In second place for the second event in a row was the team of Matt Gilbertson and Jeremy Fuller with 22.70 lbs. Mike & Durand Peterson were close behind in third with a weight of 22.43 lbs. Big Bass of the day was a 4.28 lb Largemouth caught by Jim Grave.

Matt Gilbertson and Jeremy Fuller are in the lead in the Team of the Year race followed by Brian Krause and Karl Kleman, Cory and Lisa Putnam are right behind them in third.

We would like to thank Waters Edge for letting us use their facilities for ease-off and weigh in.

The boat draw for Lake Ida is also posted. Boats 1-15 can use any access but the one south of Pilgrims Point. Boats 16-30 can use any access except the one north of Pilgrims Point. If there are any questions please contact us.

YTD Standings

Wayne Ek and Mike DaLoia weighed a 20.12 pound, eight fish bag to take the win on the Alexandria Chain. They were followed by Matt Gilbertson and Jeremy Fuller in second at 19.55 pounds and Reid Herd and Cody Reiland in third with 19.53. Big bass was a 4.01 pound fish caught by Herd and Reiland.

The next tournament will be on Lake Minnewaska on July 9th.

The schedule for the 2011 season has been established. Permits have been received for the following events:

• Alexandria Chain - June 4, 2011
• Minnewaska - July 9, 2011
• Ida - August 6, 2011

The permit for the Alexandria Chain includes Darling, Carlos, Le Homme Dieu, Geneva, Victoria and Alvin. If the channel closing is still in effect at tournament time, we won't be able to fish Victoria.

John Zvorak and Mike Larson pulled in a 27.32 pound, eight fish bag to win the Top Ten tournament on Pelican Lake at Ashby. In second place was Tom Wilkins and Doug Tvrdik with 23.33 pounds. Reid Herd and Cody Rieland came in with 22.52 pounds to take third place. Big bass went to Matt Gilbertson and Jeremy Fuller with a 4.56 pound fish.

This tournament marks the end of the 2010 season. We hope to see you all next season. Thank you for the great support.

Winning team of the year honors for Reel Team Bass in 2010 were Reid Herd and Cody Reiland. Their total weight of 55.09 pounds was enough to beat the second place team of Bob and Tammie Chapin with 54.62 pounds.

The top 10 teams will advance to the Tournament of Champions, which will be held on Pelican Lake (Ashby).

Tom and Mike Petron pulled out a close win on the Alexandria Chain with a bag of 18.63 pounds. That narrowly edged out Terry Cosgrove and Josh Steidl's 18.36 pound bag and the third place team of Wayne Ek and Mike Daloia who came in with 18.35 pounds. Big bass honors went to Tom Wilkins and Doug Tvrdik's 4.11 fish.

2010 Standings

Reid Herd and Cody Reiland pulled in the only 20 pound plus bag to take top honors at the second Reel Team Bass tournament for 2010. Their 20.64 pound bag included the 4.11 pound big fish.

They were followed by Bob and Tammie Chapin in second with a 19.90 pound bag and Wayne Ek and Mike Deloia in third at 18.20 pounds.

Though every team caught a limit, big fish were hard to come by. The team of the year race is led by Bob and Tammie Chapin with 38.64 pounds for the first two events. The Top 10 tournament qualifiers are still wide open with weights that are very close.

Congratulations to Tom Wilkins and Doug Tvrdik for their win on Lake Minnewaska. Their bag of 20.31 pounds was the only one over the twenty pound mark. In second was Matt Gilbertson and Jeremy Fuller and third went to Terry Cosgrove and Josh Steidl. The Minnewaska results have been posted as well as the Lake Ida boat draw.

The next tournament will be at Lake Ida on July 10th.
